Don’t Fear The Unknown

Demystifying what happens if you test positive on your vacation. Check out my latest video talking about what happens, and what the benefits of having a travel advisor in your corner.

Travel is absolutely possible right now, and as your travel advisor I will let you know what the rules and restrictions are and what will need to be done. I'll make sure you know these steps when you first book, after final payment and just prior to travel - because the rules can change quickly.

One thing that I do recommend is to bring a backup test to use while you are there if you test positive and believe that it may be a false positive. There are a couple of different proctored tests that you can do on your own (with a video proctor), that are valid to return to Canada. They are a bit pricy, but can be worth it as a backup. I am not affiliated with these in any way and I don't get any kickback - I just think they are a good idea.

Aeroplan (you do not need to be a member to order or use, but you do receive a discount):

Here is the list of approved tests through GoC:

Along with these, another thing I'm always talking about is making sure you have travel insurance that will cover Covid.

I don't sell insurance directly (I only focus on travel), but here is a link that will allow you to access my Manulife group rates - it's easy to get a quote online, fill out this form to get taken to the link: https://www.eveningstartravel.ca/travelinsurance
